Every April Ingram’s Magazine honors an extraordinary group of young area leaders. Our annual 40 Under Forty feature recognizes active Kansas City citizens who—in addition to their professional responsibilities as top management in their respective companies—contribute to the general community through service and involvement. This year, Ingram’s 11th year of 40 Under Forty sponsorship, we culled through hundreds of bright, active, community- and business-oriented candidates, but our 2009 honorees shined among the group. We thought the location for the annual 40 Under Forty reception should reflect the level of leadership and status in the community our honorees represent, so on Thursday, May 7, Ingram’s convened family, friends and colleagues to the Festival Plaza of Union Station, where – with beverages in hand—all in attendance toasted Ingram’s 2009 class of 40 Under Forty.
